Abstract: The good: Includes up to 2TB of storage; delivers fast transfer rates for video and audio editing; works with Windows and Macintosh systems; doesn require drivers; includes cables for USB 2.0 and FireWire 800; easy access to drives for hot-swapping. The bad: Noisy fan; no software bundle; no printed manual; relatively expensive. The bottom line: LaCies RAID-capable external hard drive array puts an enormous amount of storage within reach of even small company budgets, but the Buffalo TeraStation offers a more compelling package at an even lower price point.
