  • Free, Compatible with Windows, OS X and Linux, 64bit compatible across platforms, Attractive interface, Simple to use, Supports ODF document standard
  • Memory hungry, Limited feature set, Doesnt open Microsoft OOXML files, Builtin web browser is painfully slow and generally horrible
  • Although the interface of IBMs free office suite is attractive, its hunger for system resources and lack of features and OOXML support mean that OpenOffice.org 3 is a better free alternative...
