  • Dualmode touchscreen, usable with stylus or fingertip, Good set of features
  • Relatively bulky, Keyboard takes some getting used to, Only three USB 2.0 connectors, No HSDPA connectivity or webcam
  • The Portégé M700-110 is a generally solid 12.1in. convertible Tablet PC with a nice dual-mode touch-screen. Its a good choice for Tablet PC fans; if you need HSDPA or a webcam, its a relatively small step up to the 3G11F model...

  • Fantastic battery life, Versatile design, Great components
  • Bulky and heavy compared to most tablets
  • Toshiba is one of the leading manufacturers of Tablet PCs in this country and has always worked with the clamshell design. This adds a keyboard to a digitised screen that can be rotated 180 degrees letting you fold away the keyboard and use the tablet ...

  • Touch and pen input, Fast performance, Good battery life, Strong wireless throughput
  • Intrusive volume wheel placement, Bland, thick chassis
  • Priced at $1,799, the Toshiba Portégé M700-S7002 is a very good choice for road warriors who demand power, portability, and the flexibility of having both touch and pen input. Although it’s a bit on the thick side, the M700-S7002 can stand up to bus...

  • Abstract:  I've never been completely convinced by the Tablet PC concept. It may look good in medical dramas and sci-fi shows when characters busily tap away at tablet devices, but you have to remember one thing about that - they're not doing anything! If you've eve...

  • Abstract:  Looking at the $1,799 Toshiba Portégé M700-S7002 notebook PC, it doesn’t seem a whole lot different from other compact business-class notebooks on the market. But it’s got a secret that might make it your road-going weapon of choice, especia...

  • Easily converts from laptop to tablet; tablet digitizer does not detract from bright, sharp screen; decent multimedia-encoding performance
  • A bit hefty for a 12-inch portable; short battery life; Vista Business low on multimedia extras.
  • For business users that like to jot notes as well as type, the Portégé M700-S7002 has you covered. ...

  • Abstract:  As Microsofts tablet version of Windows has evolved, manufacturers have improved the hardware on which it runs. The CMP Channel Test Center took a look at the $1799 Toshiba Portege M700 (-S7002) and loved it -- as much for its fit, finish, design and ...

  • Great tablet design with a stable display and comfortable stylus; impressive performance; touch screen doesnt require stylus to navigate; sharp screen resolution; Webcam with handy light; price includes three-year warranty.
  • Pathetic battery life; slightly small keyboard and touch pad; lousy speakers; quick-launch buttons are not user-programmable.
  • But for its disappointing battery life, the Toshiba Portege M700 is an excellent hybrid of power laptop and well-designed tablet.
