  • Abstract:  While reasonably affordable LCD projectors with full HD native resolutions have been around for some time now, rival DLP technology has struggled to offer the necessary 1920x1080 pixel count for anything less than megabucks. But thats about to change ...

  • Abstract:  A few months back the Optoma boys set the projection market alight with the HD73 : a DLP projector that gave you Texas Instruments' then bleeding-edge DarkChip 3 chipset technology at a price hundreds of pounds lower than anyone else could manage. And no...

  • Full HD spec in an affordable DLP projector. Great black levels and contrast. Well-equipped. Quiet. Small
  • Not especially bright, so it won’t fill a very large picture well. No vertical lens shift, so not ideal for occasional use
  • Great spec, great price – not the most cutting-edge projector around, but for value it’s hard to top ...

  • Vibrant and 3D-like pictures; very competent HD upscaling; future-proofed specs; stylish and compact design; excellent connectivity; affordable.
  • Mild black crush; limited zoom; vertical offset complicates installation.
  • If you have a deep entertainment room and insist on nothing less than DLP, the HD80 is definitely the way to go.

  • Abstract:  This Taiwanese companys first full-HD offering, the HD81, was a love-hate affair for videophiles and enthusiasts. While most were excited by its enticing feature set, many were equally turned off by its sky-high AU$12,999 asking price. This has prompt...
