  • challenging, historically authentic strategy game, combines extended campaigns with individual battle scenarios.
  • steep learning curve for newcomers to strategy games, multiplayer requires separate GameRanger software
  • It might be a bit daunting for beginners, but at just £20, Napoleon: Total War is very good value for money and provides plenty of challenges for fans of historical warfare to sink their teeth into. And, of course, it allows us Brits to relive the glory d...

  • Staggering combination of scale and detail. The several complex, interwoven systems are made relatively easy to understand and control. Focused narrative paints a vivid portrait of The Corsican.
  • Occasional A.I. movement hitches. Small text in menus means that users with smaller screens may need to squint at times. History can be tedious in spots.
  • The Little Conqueror's rise and fall manifests well as a multi-phase strategy game, particularly when players assume his emperor's cloak and character. 1 of 6 Napoleon: Total War – Gold Edition View the full image Naval combatants sink or sail by a...

  • Abstract:  NameYour French soldiers stand shoulder to shoulder in a frosty paddock, muskets raised and ready to exchange fire with the enemy. Napoleon gallops reassuringly down the battle line behind them steadying their nerves. The little corporal, as his men affec...
