  • Thanks to great photo quality, a clever hybrid viewfinder, and a cool, retro design, there's a lot to like about the Fujifilm FinePix X100
  • Sluggish performance, especially for such a high-priced camera, and a frustrating navigation control make shooting with the camera a lot less fluid than it should be
  • The Fujifilm FinePix X100 is a serious piece of photographic kit. Not only is it beautifully built, but it also offers excellent performance. Few concessions to beginners and a high price make it a specialist-only camera, though....

  • Abstract:  Initial ImpressionsWith its rangefinder-style design, two-tone black and silver finish, and analog controls, the Fujifilm FinePix X100 would look right at home alongside decades-old film cameras. This isn't a knock on its design, but rather, a compliment....

  • Superb quality quality, Exceptional image quality, Versatile yet easy to use
  • Very expensive, Fixed zoom lens, Slightly fiddly controls
  • The camera powers up from cold in a couple of seconds, meaning a fractional delay as you immediately move your forefinger from power switch to shutter release buton, but this is not too shabby by any means. Moreover, in not having a zoom that allows frami...

  • Exceptional design, Large, clear optical viewfinder, Quick f/2 lens provides speed and background blur, Very low noise in high ISO images
  • High price, Slow AF system, Slow manual focus ring
  • We've been trying to find a way to sum up our feelings about the Fujifilm FinePix X100, and the closest we can come to is this: The X100 is like an eccentric genius; mostly brilliant, but interrupted by head-scratching quirks. The design is stunning, let d...

  • Abstract:  Fuji X100, f/4, 1/150s, ISO 200. Having used my new for a few more days and on various different occasions I have some more things to say about it. Once focus is achieved there isn’t any shutter lag. I spent quite a bit of the day in manual focus b...
