  • The Eve Degree is a well-designed, understated environment monitor that's excellent for adding automations to your smart home. The sensor's HomeKit integrations and Elgato's experience in smart home accessory making combine to make the Degree a great upda...

  • The Elgato Eve Degree tracks temperature, humidity and air pressure well, and it can trigger HomeKit scenes
  • The Degree takes awhile to adjust its temperature readings, its HomeKit integration is frustrating and it's hard to imagine many people paying $70 for a sensor, even if it were excellent
  • The Elgato Eve Degree works well enough, but gets almost every ancillary feature wrong. A niche audience might get some value from it, but most consumers will not find it a compelling device...

  • There aren't any critical flaws with the Degree, to be clear. We do wish it had a backlight button, and Wi-Fi, but it makes sense to leave those features out. Battery life might plummet otherwise, and owners would probably get upset at having to buy new...

  • The Eve Degree is far from cheap at $69.99, especially when a standalone temperature/humidity monitor can be purchased for less than $10, but it has the potential to add valuable functionality to a HomeKit setup. If you already have a HomeKit-enabled therm...

  • Abstract:  One of my complaints about HomeKit devices is that too many of them look like what father-of-the-iPod Tony Fadell once described as ‘ ugly white plastic crap. ' My Philips Hue switches and motion sensors, for example, work well, but they are undoubtedly b...

  • Abstract:  The first thing we noticed about Eve Degree is that it's significantly smaller than we expected. While Eve Weather certainly wasn't huge, Elgato has managed to shrink the size down of Eve Degree to about a quarter of that of its predecessor — 2.1” on each...

  • Compact and elegant temperature and humidity monitor, Design looks good in any room (or outdoors), Eve Degree can be hung on the wall or set on a table, IPX3 rating makes it suitable for indoors and outdoors, Integrates with Elgato Eve Kit and Apple HomeK
  • Remote access to current temperatures and humidity requires a late-model Apple TV or an iPad running iOS 10.2 (or later) operating as your home hub — of course that's not an issue if you already have one or the other
