  • Full manual functionality. Solid build quality. Hotshoe flash mount
  • Heavy. Useless optical viewfinder. Too many dials and buttons
  • Chunky, but thats a small price to pay for the finest camera yet to bridge the SLR-compact divide ...

  • Good image quality, JPEG and RAW capture, good build, comprehensive feature set, great control layout and handling
  • "Spongy" feel to shutter button, shadow noise when using i-Contrast, noise issues above ISO 800
  • The G10 updates its G9 predecessor with a set of new controls and much improved features, but is it any good? Well we think it is...

  • Easily accessible settings on top deck; 28mm wide-angle lens; natural-looking colors in photographs; speedy performance.
  • Heavy and a tad bulky; no major improvements to feature set from G9.
  • The G10 is going to be tough competition for the Lumix and other pro-level point-and-shoots, but it boils down to the image quality which is subjective. The features have not changed much, though it should satisfy those looking for a compact shooter to co...

  • Wideangle lens; great image quality; accessible controls; good low-light performance
  • Some noise problems; not the fastest burst mode
  • Still the Godfather of compact cameras, the Canon G10 is a worthy successor to the G9. A wideangle lens, accessible controls and a list of features as long as your arm put dSLR power in your pocket ...

  • The new Canon Powershot G10 carries on where the previous G9 model left off, further establishing the G-series as a realistic alternative to an entry-level DSLR camera, or backup compact for a pro user. Since dropping RAW mode completely on the G7, Ca...

  • Richly detailed highresolution images, Superb wideangle lens, Excellent LCD is large and crisp, Lots of dedicated controls should appeal to serious shooters, Snappy performance in most areas,
  • Images are objectively noisy, Continuous shooting speed a drag, Weak video options, Large, heavy, intimidating, and expensive for casual shutterbugs,
  • Following in the footsteps of a long and successful line of advanced cameras, the G10 had a lot to live up to. The bottom line in our opinion is that in spite of some minor imperfections, the latest PowerShot G camera proves to be a very well rounded p...

  • 5x stabilised zoom with 28mm wide angle, Flash hotshoe and RAW recording, Great quality 3in 460k screen, Good controls, build and ergonomics.
  • Slow continuous shooting – just 1.3fps, No G9 time-lapse movies and still no HD, Diffraction reduces detail above max aperture, No HD output - HDMI or component.
  • The Canon PowerShot G10 is not without its faults: it’s slow at continuous shooting, there’s no HD video or HD outputs, and for the best image quality you’ll need to shoot at 80 ISO with the aperture wide open. Fans of earlier generation...
