  • Abstract:  by Anthony KershawI have a real soft spot for Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), favourite audio resident of Steyning, Sussex, England. The legendary B&W 801F loudspeakers were the first true high end speaker I heard at length. I remember the sound from almost 30...

  • Fantastic design and pinsharp sonic performance
  • Hefty price tag and abnormally firm docking
  • The Zeppelin Mini turns Apple’s music boxes and mobile phones into desktop virtuosos capable of turning even the most discerning ear...

  • Loud; compact form factor; on-board digital-to-analogue converter
  • Expensive; doesn't look or sound as good as the original Zeppelin
  • The Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Mini is a decent system, but we don't think it justifies its high asking price in the way that its larger sibling does. If you've got the space, we'd recommend you go for the original Zeppelin instead ...

  • Smart, stylish aesthetic, Digital USB input provides cleaner sound, Works with all iPod and iPhone devices, Unique, rotating dock arm
  • Very aggressive high frequencies, No tone control, Poor off-axis response, Limited remote functions, High price for an iPod dock
  • The Zeppelin Mini looks less outlandish than its Hindenburg-sized older brother, but loses some of its larger-than-life performance in the shrinking process....

  • Bowers and Wilkins has proved that it can produce superb iPod sound quality in a smaller chassis, while adding a few new features along the way. The Mini isn't as aesthetically striking as the original Zeppelin though, and it doesn't excel aurally to quit...

  • Sound, design, build quality
  • Just an iPod speaker dock and nothing else, doesn't look like the Zeppelin, remote sluggish
  • A great iPod speaker dock, that sounds impressive, but a lack of connectivity will hold it back against other offerings on the market...

  • One of the best sounding iPod docks in its price range. Compact, elegant design. Dock rotates for horizontal iPod view. Connects to PC via USB so remote can control iTunes.
  • Only for iPhone, iPod touch, and recent iPods. Remote control is awkwardly shaped and lacks full iPod navigation. No video output.
  • For a $400 iPod speaker dock, the Zeppelin Mini lacks some features that an expensive unit should have—but it looks and sounds amazing....
