Abstract: Altec Lansing was the very first manufacturer to put out an iPod-compatible speaker system, dubbed the inMotion. Now, they’re the first (from what we’ve seen) to create a mini-home theater for your iPod. It’s the Altec Lansing iMV712. Th...

Great sound. Very easy to use. Elegant, simple design. Works with other devices, besides the iPod.
LCD display quality was lacking. Remote is vital for some functions, but could be lost easily. Cannot mirror iPod menus.
As a speaker dock, the Altec Lansing iMV712 would be a fine choice. Its sound is clean and accurate, and it can provide enough volume, without distortion, and a nice bass kick to fill a room with sound. As a mini-theater, the device is somewhat puzz...
An all-in-one speaker and video screen accessory for the iPod, with a remote control, top-loading Universal iPod Dock, and more audio horsepower than current add-on display rivals.
equently, if you want iFlip’s screen to look more like iMV712’s for whatever reason, you can do it, but the same isn’t true about the Altec display. Both systems include user-adjustable 16:9/4:3 toggles for those who want to view u...
